But when WE talk about veggies, try to consume them fresh, and you can easily eat more than 1-2 pound of fresh veggies per day. In fact if you want to banish cellulite fast from your body, over half of what you eat should be fresh veggies.
Become hands-on. Yes, massaging a luxurious cream into your skin feels good, but taking a few minutes to master a body contouring technique can elevate the outcome. Researchers at the University of Colorado studied 32 patients: 14 had liposuction and 18 did not (acting as the control group). None of the patients changed their diet or exercise routines, and those who had liposuction found that while body fat decreased at first, it returned at a later time — especially around the abdomen and upper body. It was not subcutaneous fat that returned either (the kind located just under the skin), but rather deeper, dangerous visceral fat. (6) The type of body fat that came back in the post-liposuction patients is associated with many chronic diseases, including heart disease and early death.
When the catecholamines interact with beta-receptors, fat is released from fat cells. When they bind to alpha-receptors, fat release is drastically slowed. I know I may be losing the non-science folks, so just think B for beta=burn and A for alpha=anti-burn.

But it depends on the grade of cellulite you have. There are four grades, ranging from zero to three: Grade zero is no visible cellulite. Connective tissue can be weakened by hormones, lack of exercise and muscle tone, excess fat, and poor circulation, says New York City-based dermatologist Dr. Cheryl Karcher. But the condition is not caused by “toxins.”
There is limited evidence to back up claims that topical creams, medications, or liposuction eliminate cellulite for good. As for the FDA-approved, one-time laser-assisted procedure Cellulaze—which purports to level out bumps and dimples while stimulating collagen production to increase skin elasticity and thickness by more than 25 percent—the long-term effects are yet to be fully known (and the short procedure costs anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 depending on the size of the area treated).
If you read cellulite treatment claims closely, you’ll notice that reputable ones tend not to say that their cream, laser or massage therapy will get rid of cellulite. The ugly truth is that because cellulite is most likely a structural problem, it’s going to return like the proverbial bad penny if the structure is unchanged. “You cannot cure it,” Dr. Sadick says. “But you can help make it look significantly better.”
Exercise. Do strength training three days a week, in addition to cardiovascular exercise, which should be done three to five days a week. Vary the types of exercises and do push-ups, air squats, sit-ups, pull-ups, back squats, deadlifts and overhead presses. All of these exercises recruit multiple muscle groups, which means burning more calories in the same amount of time as doing isolated spot exercises, such as leg curls. Strength training positively affects your body fat percentage and aids in preserving lean muscle mass while losing weight. When you have more muscle, you burn more calories at rest than someone with a higher body fat percentage.
Fat loss helps improve the appearance of cellulite but won’t make it disappear entirely. If you have a high level of body fat, your cellulite may be more apparent. A paper published in a 2006 issue of the International Journal of Cosmetic Science noted that dimpling is still visible after weight loss despite clinical evidence that fat cells retract out of the skin when you drop pounds.
